How-to gnote on Gnome startup?

Postby dedanna1029 » 21 Jun 2012, 03:35

It's nothing earth-shaking by a long shot, but it is a curiosity. I have gnote in startup on Gnome login, and when I login, it comes up like this, rather than just come up in the system tray:

In KDE, it comes up just in the tray, which is more convenient - I don't have to click it down to the tray on login.

I tried using just gnote for the executable in the startup applications dialog, and it came up like this. I looked in alacarte at just what the executable it has is for it, and it has it as being gnote --search. Tried it that way, and it still does this.

Know of any way to get it to just start in the tray as it should, and as it does in KDE? In this screenshot, it's both in the tray, and on the screen fully opened as well. It's just the fully opened that would be nice to get rid of. It did this, IIRC, back in Gnome 2.2 and 2.3 as well... I can't remember before that.

Thanks.
