here is a neat program for putting a distro on usb stick (2 versions at sourceforge windows and linux)
just got around to downloading unetbootin from sourceforge (so busy this past year i think I met myself coming and going a few times)
and created a couple of bootable forensic sticks

gnuuser like!!
much easier than expected and the sticks are easier to carry around than the cd's

it was very fast using an image already downloaded onto the computer to install to usb and very easy to use
and tested both on the acer netbook
it detected the blank stick easily for the destination and does it automatically
if the stick is inserted first and detected before unetbootin is started

Yes it works quite well and has a selection of distros that come with it. Of course you have dd and other tools too. But I have used unetbootin a lot. And it mostly works.

It is a good tool ive used it countless times plus it saves money on cds this is very much so cause i use Alot and get tired of damaging cds the usb is better but you may have more than 1 os on a use stick if its big enough plus its faster than a cd . Whoever created this is one smart cookie
