It is different from recordmydesktop in pinpointing the exact area to record from. And it is great for educational purposes. You could do a complete Arch install in a VB and record it and then burn the result to a CD. |

It is available as rpm (for Mandriva too) and in the Arch Aur (where pretty much anything is available). The motive in the movie is a section of my desktop where I have integrated a transparent urxvt terminal in the wallpaper - running htop.

That seems like a nice program. The resolution looks a lot better than the recordmydesktop videos I've seen. Watching one of the developer's videos, it looks pretty simple, records audio to the mpeg, too, and could be a way to do something instructive or have some fun!
