Slow internet response (particularly browsing)

Still valid. It's an issue I've had in Fedora forever and a day. Couldn't find the modprobe.conf file in Fedora (even running a "find" for it), so looked it up.

http://ur1.ca/0en4s - should cure the ills in the browsers anyway. Still working on the rest. Working much better in Seamonkey and Firefox both so far.

My problem now, is how to set this in the Iron browser. It's getting very slow on me. :(
