Pino and other Twitter clients not connecting

It seems that Twitter has changed, and now requires clients to be OAuth compliant (understandable, but...). For those who are not aware, Twitter clients for Linux such as Pino have not caught up yet, and Pino at the least is promising OAuth compatibility with next version. So, for now, we have to use our browsers until they do. It is unknown as to when they will. Until then, expect Gwibber, Pino, and the rest to not connect. :(

Pain in the dupa, I tell ya.

Didn't even know you could have clients for that  I will have to try one now - oh forgot - they aren't working

Yeah, Pino for me over the last 4 days just sits there spinning its wheels trying to connect. :(

There's Echofon for Windows. You might try that. Not sure where Windows clients are at for OAuth right now.

The problem being of course, that Twitter runs very slowly and inconveniently from the browser. :(

Pino 3 is now in yaourt in Arch - still have to check Fedora. Giving it a go now - will let you know how it goes.

Good! Always a good idea to let others fall on their nose first  If it goes well I might even try it

It's doing everything but posting for me. When I post a status update, it sits there spinning its wheels forever and a day... need to figure out what's up with that. Does everything else fine, though.
