ArchLinux in the Distrowatch top 5!

ImageI am going to call it: Arch made it into the Distrowatch top 5 list. Even if Suse has as many hit points I will eat my socks if Arch is not alone in the 5th place, within a week.
This is interesting in many ways:
Arch is not for newcomers.
I would never recommend it to them and I seriously doubt that I will personally ever give up Arch. There are several reasons but let's take this for one: I seriously doubt there is any distro with more software available (oh yes I have tried Debian)!
Arch is more CLI orientated than most Linux distros. At least the installation process is.
And that same installation process is not as easy as the "control panel" distros. This is in contrast to the general conception that Linux will never get mainstream because of its CLI orientation and the average Joes lack of interest in OS's: He wants to vote on American Idol and that is about it.
So this could be a token of Polarization where the few Linux guys left, opt for the classic real Linux values. And that there are not many newcomers crossing over to Linux.
Or It could just be that Arch is rock solid and exactly like you built it. Blistering fast and flexible.......
Is it a sign that Linux is not getting any new users if Suse does it badly?

Here is a quote that R_head will like.
Most users like their operating system to be like their cars. They stick in the key, turn on the ignition, and off they go. For these users, I recommend Ubuntu. But, if you're the kind of person who likes a car with manual transmission and getting your hands dirty under the hood, then Arch Linux deserves your consideration.

I for one prefer the manual transition - it is faster! I don't agree with the getting the hands dirty stuff. Once set up you can leave it!
I agree with this review.
