Oracle Linux

Oracle Linux is out. Apparently it is a server that can be equipped with Gnome or KDE DE.
Nothing bleeding edge edge but supposed to be rock solid - like a server should be. Oracle Linux is Redhat compatible.
I would like to give it a go and tell you about it. But I cannot tell if it is for free or not. When I hit the download link They want me to register and give up personal data. As long as I don't even know for what - they do not deserve it.
But maybe some of you have tried it out?
I just thought it deserved a spot here because I think that tux logo is cool :P
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Why must I complete Export Validation to download Oracle products?
Oracle is obligated to comply with all export laws of the United States and applicable export laws and regulations ("Export Laws") to ensure that commodities and technical data will not be exported to a destination, entity, or individual to which shipment is prohibited, or for any purpose prohibited by the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or other Export Laws. Additional details about Oracle's Export Compliance program may be found on the Global Trade Compliance website.

Some FAQ that seems to explain some of the registration rationale.

Ah yes that toke care of my questions. It looks like I have to purchase:
How do I find the Media Pack that I need?
On your Oracle Order Document, refer to the list of the products you purchased. Then, view the License List to help determine which Product Pack you need to select in order to search for the appropriate Media Pack(s) to download. Prior to downloading, verify that the product you are looking for is referenced in the Readme by clicking on the Readme button at the top of the Media Pack page.

There seems to be a Trial license system but it is hard to tell before I register.

And I find the browser recomendation strange for a Linux distro:
What type of browser should I use?
For the best download experience we recommend using Internet Explorer (6.0 and higher), Netscape (7.0 and higher), or Mozilla (1.4 and higher) that supports JavaScript and use of Cookies


I think I will pass on this one for now.
