KDE notification help (or is it Gnome?)

I mentioned earlier today that I was having issues with KDE notifications. It turns out it may not be KDE, but possibly Gnome... or something else. I'm not sure how to narrow down where this is coming from.

If I go to Gnome's System menu-->Control Center-->Popup notifications, and try to Preview there how I've set notifications (click "Preview" in that dialog box), this is what is popping up on me, but it's not doing it every single time (just most of the time):

Any clue how to narrow down issues with system messagebus? Or is this a dbus thing?

Edit: If I knew where the settings for Popup notifications are in Gnome, I'd reset that folder and retry. Anyone know?

Thanks.

Solved already, I think - still a tad of taking it for a spin drive to do. What I did, was reset ~/.dbus and ~/.gconf/apps/notification-daemon, then rebooted. When I came back up, the Preview for Popup notifications in Control Center appeared to work pretty consistently, so now I'm putting it to the real
test. I'll let you know tomorrow if it's a keeper now or not if I can; if not, then the next day.

Question: Why does it seem like ~/.dbus corrupts up so much? This is like, my fourth reset of that folder since I last installed Arch.

Thanks.

Notifications are better, but still not what I'm used to or what they should be, like they used to be.

I guess there's been something in updates somewhere down the line. :(

Not ready to mark as "resolved" yet.
