Display issue

Clickety-click. See how the front window there goes down behind the bottom taskbar, and there are no scrollbars or anything? I can't get down there to see what's there. This is happening on several things, this being only one of them.

Another example is when I click up to view something in gnome-look.org. There is a scrollbar on that window there, but it won't let me use it - the second I click to grab it, the window shuts down. See how the image is too big for the window:

The last example is in dconf-editor. If you look on the right here, where that teeny scrollbar is, that is actually a whole list of things that I have to choose from, and I can't see them to choose (even when I scroll with that teeny scrollbar):

I've tried bringing down the desktop font and a couple other things. Any ideas? Thanks.

There are many apps that don't fit in my screen very well. The one workaround I know is to hold down the Alt button and drag the window up with the mouse (hold left button down and move cursor, which is inside the window, at the same time).

Sounds like you've got more than that going on, maybe multiple issues. :confused

Yeah, and with this being Gnome 3, OMG. I think I'm done with it. Just so done. I'm installing KDE now, to see if the netbook can handle its resource-intensiveness, but I dunno. We'll see. *shrug

Thanks.

Turning off Bottom panel extension in gnome-tweak-tool will help a lot too.

So would going evilwm or fvwm.

Aw, you just took away my ability to go from window to window via taskbar! :(
Is there not another way?
