Who has tampered with my Bios?

I have a this motherboard
:A
http://www.asus.com/no/Motherboards/P6T_Deluxe_V2/
It is an Older ASUS computer and it comes with this hopeless thing called Express Gate hardcoded into the Bios. I had to deactivated it in the BIOS settings many years ago because it did not go well with Linux and only slowed down the boot process - because I did not want to use it.

Today it popped up again so someone has remotely been tampering with my BIOS as far as I can tell.

So here are some questions:
Can the Bios be reset to factory settings by itself?
Intel and Microsoft are the only ones that can update the Bios remotely - I don't use Windows:
Does Intel update the Bios without any notice to me. Does anyone have experience in this?

Is it the Norwegian secret Police that keylogger Trojan accepted?
So all hardware must be made ready in case we become terrorists in the future?

Search about that I cannot access my PC BIOS remotely.

If I am not mistaken, has to use some kind of Port to make contact, right?

Once you find the port, block it on the router.

Can you change the NIC hexnumber? Some MoBos you can.

How do they find it in the Web?
Computers cannot find themselves, they need DNS or is beaconing to the mothership their network location.

For a direct attack they need your IP Address and behind the NAT the IP of the node and/or the NIC info.

So...
If I want to contact the node I have to make a broadcast request on your Network/NAT for an specify service (the PC that is listening).

I might start closing ports and allow like the few I need. :T

PXE boot to LAN turned on in BIOS would do all of the above.

I also think that maybe Linux might have done a BIOS flash, and that activated it?

They've had one for years.

However, I'm not finding Leap to be Microsuckified. I've had no mono installed, no C++, anything of the like.

Speaking of which, I should test that deal. Turn UEFI and boot to USB on, and see if the dvd is blocked.
