 | Google owned Motorola wins agains Microsoft in a case where Microsoft claimed that Motorola was violating an App patent that can be moved between different systems. Microsoft still has the take on this that everybody must pay them a license fee if it is successfull. MS also claim that Motorola has violated other patents so this does not really matter anyway etc etc. They will probably fight in court for yeat another decade - since that is pretty much Microsofts profession these days. Google is actually developing stuff to the benefit of most people. Microsofts puny attempts to make a mobile phone OS, clearly shows that they simply are not able to put all their claimed/so-called own patents to good use. This patent laden stuff is an unworthy cirkus. And of no use to you, me, society - noone! I do not believe for a minute that Microsoft will not be encouraged to continue development if they do not win these cases. They did not even develop MS-DOS , they only made sure that they had the rights for it.
So their ability to develop software has presious litlle to do with it. |
