In reality it's much higher than that. The almost 10% is just a national median. It's actually 22%+.

That sounds about right.
One things these polls does not capture is that 2/3 (might be a bit pessimistic in the shit-o-meter)of those jobs are crap job that does not pay very well.
When I was stationed in Hawaii, they said that state had the lowest unemployment rate in the nation.
Why?
Each Part Time job was consider employment. So..............
The poor Hawaiians worked several of them to make a living (the ones that wanted to work, the rest they took welfare).
