I didn't say it wasn't a country. I said that I had issues with anyone saying it's the smallest country. Too many credible sites say otherwise.

There is no doubt that this platform is smaller than the Vatican state. The reason why the Vatican state is the smallest on all the sites is that practically no country has acknowledged Sealand.
On the other hand it belongs to no other country either. Still if you get this task in school you should probably answer the Vatican state (or City). You would get bonus points for mentioning Sealand tho...
It boils down to the definition of a country I guess.
