Our fearless leaders
I have a not-so-good feeling. Day after tomorrow it will be a week. What think you, members of this forum? I'm dying to hear two words, "we're okay", and that's all. If they could, I'm sure they would... ?
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

Re: Our fearless leaders
It's worrisome, seems the rampage must have hit close to home or there is some other extraordinary coincidental reason for their absence.

Re: Our fearless leaders
Okay, with me about to go offline for a while, would anyone like to take over "watchful eye" duty?

Re: Our fearless leaders
We are back after a national disaster. We heard the bang but everyone is OK. One distorted fanatic has managed to bring the entire nation together regardless of political views; promising that this will never hurt our democracy - only strengthen it.
My daughter and my son heard the bang and needless to say it was an initial shock.
I went to an Island in Telemark where I have been diving from the front port and fishing some Mackerel and Cod (Coincidence - I was on a boat when the bomb went off). So basically we are all okay here. The disaster has put the entire society on holds for a week but no one is frightened. Most people are just sad. And the Idiot who did it wants to make the court proceedings a stage for his narcissistic theories.
In this he will succeed; and he will only obtain to scare every last person away from this display of sick personality. Our thoughts and condolences go to the families that have lost their loved ones.
It is our task to see too that democracy is strengthened by this disaster. That would make the terrorist wrong on all accounts.
So one important part of that is to go back to business as usual:
Has anyone seen a good distro lately
PS: It is warming that people on the other side of the planet care - thank you for that.

Good to hear that you are well
In Iraq, few mortars landed like 50 to 100 meters from me. I know how that feels to hear some like that going off.

Amen to all of the above. Had to be scary for everyone though hearing that.

Great! Glad to see you're ready, and that you're okay.
