Hey how come no one has told me that fish is a brillant way of connectiong in ssh via KDE?
Open Konqueror or Dolphin and write fish://user@someplace and voila you are in. That is groovy! :groovy

On the other hand writing

Code: Select all

ssh://you@someplace
in the Nautilus address bar will have the same effect.
If the Adress bar in Nautilus is missing - write this in a terminal:

Code: Select all

gconftool-2 -s -t bool /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location_entry true
As rvause has tought us.

Uh, we thought you knew? I remember someone at the mdv forum and I used to talk about it a lot, and other places, have too, so kind of assumed you knew.

Sorry. Will never assume again. I keep forgetting what "assume" stands for.

Well, the Gnome growing pains will definitely be there, but once it's done, it will be good, no worries. :)

'sides, you can do that in Gnome, too. :)
