I recently had to unlock a car for a young lady who was quite distraught
I got to the scene and the girl showed me the car to unlock.
i reached inside and pulled the lock button up

the car was a convertible with the top down

You should have work "unlocking" the car for 15 minutes or so and then say something like:
Miss, the glaustek concoster is dead, I'm afraid you'll have to buy another car, this one is broken beyond repair.

I work in tech support - I could give at least one a day.

Or ten. I know I had them too when I was working it. There are some cool ones, but there sure are a lot of ignoramuses out there.
