Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Yup. It would be cool in a real way, and would probably be very cosy.

They are several things to consider.
How much the Technology cost? I think the solar panels and the LED are not cheap; how long will it take for a return of investment?
They said to run is like $1,600 a year but that is some else.
That does not mean that we should be against progress but is fine as a proof of concept before manufacturing and implementation for mass production.
You can start now day Eco-ing your home.
Buy CFLs instead of filament bulbs, switch to LEDs where basic illumination is need it. Get a Solar Water Heater (is non electric), use double pane glass windows, change the insulation in the attic if you have one. Even, try to eat meals that does not require cooking or refrigeration. Use mass transit.
The thing is, people are very wasteful specially in the USA. If we all pitch in on reducing waste I bet we can all save a ton.

Pretty neat house.
My question is, how durable is?
There is any issues as far allergens, like mold and such?
How the waste is disposed, like bathroom, kitchen?
This is some that I would not mind to live in.
