Can one be immune to everything?

Postby dedanna1029 » 09 Jun 2012, 20:45

Or do they honestly get inundated or have they just gone through too much in life?

If one is to be immune, the theory is that it keeps taking more and more to keep one satisfied with any one thing, thereby building up one's immunity.

But what if we're not talking about drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or anything of the like?

Just had an "I don't care" moment that reminds me of this question.
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

I guess you can - If you let it happen. But it is no fun - so you should avoid it. This kind of "inflation" reduces the values of things. Often it is a result of people not being able to cherish what they have.
You now some people always see the half empty glass.... Seeing the other half is the trick..

Yeah, at times a damn hard one to pull off.
