The duck and the vet

A young lady brought a very limp duck into the vets office and when the doctor examined it he replied "this duck is dead"
The young lady didn't believe him and insisted he run some tests.
He opened the door and a big black dog came in, sniffed the duck , whined and hung his head.
Then a big Tom cat came in jumped up on the table, pawed at the duck, the looked at the vet and meowed.
The vet said well that confirmed it.
He handed her a bill for $1,200.00 Dollars
The woman yelled what's that for?
