Y'know, how 'bout you do this.

Get one of them to come in here and explain it. I'm quite serious.

Have someone in an official capacity there, come in and give an official statement on it.

At the end of the day, they're only hurting themselves. Let them. It's their problem, and they'll have to deal with the consequences of it.

I think the ones that do not want a forum, will see the irony in actually commenting on it in a forum - don't you think

Yep. So let them, and get them to. Of course, I'll tweet their response, and then even more people can come in and tell them how ridiculous they're being.

All righty then. I had retweeted an extremely enthusiastic Mageia developer, about how happy he is to be developing for them. I also put the english translation of it.

Ok then. There are a lot of extreme enthusiasts there, but it will wear off. Now they have to prove something. They have a lot of support, including mine, if they don-t deliver, they will be dead and forgotten in a short time.

Yep. Understood.

I'm going to give them some time though before I make a judgement - it takes time when just starting out.

Let's hope they will work some magic. I want Mandriva in some form to prevail. It just is too good to die. A revitalization of Mandriva would be nice too. But that would probably make Mageia "just another distro". I hope that they will be able to cooperate after a while.
