So just to make it perfectly clear - up front - nobody is going to respect it and it will have no influence on the actual name whatsoever.
But I am curious so I would like to hear your opinion on some names:
You will only get one vote - but you will be allowed to change that vote as new names might make it to the list as we go along
(Simply vote for something else and you original vote will be moved to the new favorite - It works I have tested it )

I think Macdriva would be a fine name for an OSX replacement.. otherwise? Not so much. May also incur the rath of Apple!

Well that is a classical reaction (you may well be right though. Odin Linux would have been perfect ). How about an action:
What "none of the above" alternative?

Given what has been going on recently, perhaps BerserkLinux would be appropriate, or would they need you to grant a them a licence to use that.

BerserkLinux .. may be a nice idea, but.. i think the first Name who has grabs the "e" away from the factory, it's the best ..
it describes exactly what it is for a Linux and has a full re-identification value of earlier and can bring back all together.

For some reason it looks like some people at the OMA wants a name that has nothing to do with Mandriva or Mandrake... and that is kind of odd for an association called Openmandriva

Mandrake is out of the question though - they have already lost this fight to the original Mandrake:

No problem thats what associations do - they check out legal names.... Apfelstrudel Linux I think I could digest that In any case is probably important to let this process take some time.

Once the name is cleared, then the entire focus would be on when the distro gets finished....
