Programming - need help in testing

Well I have bee going bananas with the keyboard and it would be great if you could help me out with testing.
So here is what I have tried to do:
I made a login routine on the front page:
http://bjoernvold.com/BCMS/Default.php?lang=enAnd If you are logged in to this board you vil be greeted as the VIP you are.... naturally.
If you are NOT logged in on this board you will be given the option to log in directly on that page and then the wonder happens that this board will be integrated in the CMS so you should be able to start posting there right away.
Does it work -are there issues?

please test it both when logged in and out..
Remember to refresh the page...
Dying for feedback here

I don't understand - is there supposed to be something extra on the front page? I don't see any difference. If I click on the link you gave, I'm taken to a page that seems to know about me. It looks like one of those abominable "social networking" things. What am I supposed to do at that point?
Sorry but my linux box died on me yesterday (it was only 9 years old) and I'm in double-grumpy old man mood today.

It seems to work then.
Try this:
A. log out from here.
B. go to
http://bjoernvold.com/BCMS/Default.php?lang=enC. refresh the page
You will now see a login form so log in there - and tell med what you see...
And Berserks are always grumpy - it's a feature

And no social media crap - just an external login to this board ...as a step on the way to full integration (I have programmed that CMS myself so I
know that I am not spying....
That hello message is only visible to
you no one else, (if I have got things right- hence the test request

), when (and if) you actually are logged in here on this Board/forum
I'll admit though that it is a pretty useless implementation so I'll try to set it up more understandable - see? Testing works

Ok I have changed it on grumpy request so that people can actually understand what I am doing (my wife since 25 years has given up

)
So IF you are NOT logged in here AND you have refreshed the page then you should see the login form under news to the right.
If you see a welcome you message then you are logged in on the board or you have not refreshed the page.
That login needs testing though - I do not want to make life easy for spammers....

I am working on an external registration routine right now too - maybe as a redirect from the login.
I am yet unsure if I ever will use it though.... it depends on the security; yours and mine....
I am also almost ready with the latest posts from forum A etc so it might very well be that only the latest posts are implemented here....

I logged in and was presented with a view of the forum (only one side is visible - I have to scroll to the bottom and scroll right/left to see the other part. There is enough visible, however, for me to post this reply.

Thanks!
I do not have to scroll right or left with 1366x768 resolution (The CMS will expand with the resolution)
If you click the forum link on the right (under Articles) You will probably be scroll free...
Still I take it that the external login is working - that is good. And the old full page, is still there of course.
So to your tragic loss: Was it the Mageia box? Can you replace the disk? (I know how frustrating that is

)

Although frustrating, the death was not entirely unexpected - there had been warning signs

The box didn't have any data on it - that is all stored on external USB disks. The various operating systems are on removable IDE disks (all of which are pretty aged). I'm sure that the motherboard is dead. Anyway, I've decided that it's time to upgrade to SATA. Two or three SATA disks (which I already have, presently idle), each configured to multi-boot several OS's should be enough, on a modern platform. I have one available that is only three years old. I'm pretty sure that I had Fedora running on it at one point and so am expecting that it is fully supported by linux.

Well that is cute, with scrolling happy techies across the top.

(we'll see how full resolution screenie works)
Just, there is some exotic language, understandable when logged out, but it's still there in the "Timeline"-looking sort of list of posts, below, when I am logged in.
Also, there is a horizontal scroll bar on my screen in the main "table" that is not too good.
Keep up the good work!

p.s. no screenie in preview.

Liking the old board better, right now.

Yeah I will probably just extract the latest posts from some Forum for the CMS. The horizontal scroll should not be there with the most common resolutions today but I do see that nobody wants that

I'll see what I can do about it....
I'll hang in there and I am just looking for some new PHP-frameworks now (Prado looks good so far) to speed things up.

.....
The horizontall scrollbar appears in Eeamonkey here too... not in Chromium .... cheking others...

I logged in this evening, and that was it. I think I'm glad it was that way. By Rolf's screenie, I am not fond of that. Thanks.

Yes this board will stay as is - but the plan is to implement it in the CMS in addition to that - somehow...
