Downtime today!

Postby viking60 » 09 Jan 2015, 09:54

We had a database connection problem today. When I happily danced to my computer to get my daily dose of forum input I was met by a database connection error. :berserkf
The problem was identified within 30 minutes and the entire enchilada was fixed in one hour.
:tux5:
It seems to be a server/update problem but it is not yet clear how this could happen in the first place. We will try to find out to prevent this from happening again.

In any case this motivated me to make a database backup so the backup site that you all have written down and glued to your wall in case this forum disappears; is now up to date:

It turns out to be a collateral damage in connection with the transfer to a new server.
In this process the database user got lost. It was easy to recreate.
Problem solved.
