Just why the HELL are we allowing threads like this, from BEFORE the holidays? I'm finding posts and threads all over the place here of people trying to sell stuff. No more, please!

Well the VPN threads are somewhere "in between" because the cause is somewhat "on topic" for tinfoil hat people like us
I have been in doubt but I decided to barely accept the VPN marketing because security matters.

The number of people presenting the best "and cheapest VPN" are on the watchlist.

I thing I will make a new topic called VPN and move all those entries in there to avoid pollution.

That should make it easier to keep track of senseless spamming....leaving us with the regular spamming on a somewhat relevant topic.

I just might remove them all on popular request though ....the Jury is still out

Ok I have reviewed all the posts and some have been using differen VPNs at the same time and clearly telling stories that do not fit any other purpose than selling VPN.

The security aspect of it is not much discussed so... they are gone!

To future members who want to recommend a VPN it would be crucial to explain why it is a good idea.

Posing a question with a link to VPN offers will be deleted.

These VPN posts generally come from these three (but not solely them). It doesn't seem like that ax is swinging very hard. I've reported them at least five times now, and they still are not banned. You'll notice also that they are not responding to this thread in defense of themselves. That to me, says that they are here for one reason, and one reason only. Editing their posts is not enough.

The java institute thread is also spam, and I've reported it.

Do you guys need me back to chase down spam posts again or something, like I used to?
