BBCode bug? idk

I tried, before, to use the col tag but couldn't see how, could not find documentation.
Today, I looked at the code for this post: Image Fearless Leader's Wisdom and decided to throw in my first popup, end result here.

Pushing the quote button for this post, I could not see much rhyme or reason, except for the pipe, | that seemed to divide the columns. My first try, I put the popup after the pipe and preview rendered pretty much what I was going for, except it included the | above the popup. That worry is somewhat tangential to the point of this post but I just throw it in, gratis, that's the kind of guy I am. :P

Anywho, my big concern is that, two times, when I clicked on the Image link button in the popup in the preview, it opened another tab to that page, :B but, on the original post preview page tab, forum software reloaded a blank text/edit field, all my work disappeared, automagically! :f

Well browser 'Back' button restored my work but it seems not right? FWIW, I saved a copy of that preview page here and it behaves the same for me, I don't know if cookies are a factor, will log out and take a look. Thanks.

Ah yes I have lost a lot of brilliantly formulated posts with infinite wisdom in a similar way. Once I get caught up in my own brilliance and really take the time to make it look perfect, the system punishes my vanity in a hard and brutal manner.

Many will say correctly so , by simply logging me out while I am writing my piece of art.
I do not notice of course and when I hit preview it is gone :f
Vanity is a sin :T
I have made it a habit to copy the entire enchillada to the clipboard before I submit it.

The popup tab preview thing is a bit moody - clipboard is your friend :D I know exactly what you mean. I'll look into it tho...
And the col thing you managed beautifully.
It is as simple as this:

Code: Select all

[col]col no.1 | col no. 2[/col]
the content of col can be anything BUT code tags -those can mess things up.
