NTN: How to download updates when offline

I need to know how to get into mirrors.kernel.org to download updates from here at school in Windows.

I'm using WinSCP on the school computer. I'm in Firefox here in Windows (got the link from here), but it's making it to where I have to download the files that way individually. WinSCP is asking for the following, but when I put the stuff in, it times out every time. I don't get what I'm doing wrong:

I've tried with just mirrors.kernel.org, and it says "Host does not exist". When I do use the full path, it says Access denied.

Any clue?

Will move on to how to add the local repo, after I can get these downloaded in a reasonable time frame.

The connection info looks about right. So it is strange. Have you tried plain ftp?
You could install cygwin and try wget from the "terminal".
(Remember to pick wget during install it is under "web". You can pick aria2 and rsync too...)
Cygwin is a Linux CLI for windows.

That's the problem. I can't install anything to the school computers. :(

I'm not thinking so, because I can get to my own school site, and upload things there. However, they could have WinSCP blocked to other sites. That's what I want to find out.

Edit: Just figured this out, and I'm surprised no one else thought of it. I can just go there in Windows Explorer, sort the files the way I want them, and download the updates from there, *I think* - trying it now. I'm on Win7. :)

Okay, now need to know how to add local repos to pacman.conf. They're all in a folder on my usb stick. There's sub-folders for community, core, and extra. Going to try to figure out how to update AUR packages later. Thanks.
