So Santa Ballmer's popularity is probably on top internally in Microsoft. It is a generous action considering that Microsoft has 90.000 employees. And Microsoft is generally seen as a good place to work so this will not hurt in that department either.
And all because the management is nice...
Some thought might also have gone to the marketing bit where Microsoft more than ever is depending on all their people to implement their product in the market and that they probably have a Samsung or Apple phone/tablet today.....
