Hm looks interesting. It must be a fantastic tool to win new people over! Do test it and give us a review!
On the other hand it looks a lot like Gnome - so if it is a wallpaper trick it is worth nothing. Does it have control centers etc. that is important.
It looks to be a theme for Fedora really - that makes it an interesting theme. Still for newcomers it will work wonders.

Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Silly to use a distribution that tries to be Windows. There is so much about OSS that is better and an improvement. If you want to use Windows, you should use Windows.

Yeah that is an option 
The best Windows is probably Windows. But a user friendly "Linux for Dummies" starting point could be interesting. It is a secret dream of mine to put Linux on a Win fanboy box without him noticing the difference.

I have several reasons I'd like to try it. Not going to get specific ATM, but there are good sound reasons.

I think Ubuntu facilitates this brilliantly and in addition provides a real taste of the great software available on a Linux/Gnome OS.

Ubuntu is a better starting point for Mac users. They will immediately feel comfortable there. I am not sure there is any distro that can do that for a Windows user. Mandriva is close though, closer than Ubuntu.
The software is nicely presented in Ubuntu though, solving the first problem every new Linux user has - so it is a tough call
But Linux must be Linux - not a sorry Windows or Mac copy. I think we are on the same page there.
Ease of use and an immediate positive experience, is important IMO.
For that the Windows lookalike trick might work - but yes it is cheating
