Meanwhile jemadux can you provide as much info as possible? Distro? Cam? What have you been doing so far etc etc :think:

kubuntu 10.10 , fresh installl ,
tryed https://launchpad.net/~nickel62metal/+archive/ppa
just i see that is microdia ,.

when i go on kopete dont shown any device

Do you have 64bit or 32bit Kubuntu?
(If you don't know - you have 32bit :-D )

nope i am using x86_64
from dmesg the problem is

Okay, then.

Look at the second post here. It appears you need libwxgtkx.x-dev, or libwxgtkx.x-dev; I'm assuming these will be in your repos.
