Microsoft to file antitrust complaint against Google in EU

Postby viking60 » 06 Apr 2011, 19:50

ImageMicrosoft is filing complaints against Google in the EU because Google has a 95 % market share in the search engine area. And Microsoft claims that Google is "walling off" access to content and data the competition needs.
Hard to find good stuff about Windows smart phones presumably (is Google to blame for that?).

So here we have a hard working company with a small Market share that is bullied by Google -right?.
Microsoft has made it the main business to "wall off" the competition - preferably in court or with threats and FUD.
Ironically this is just such an attempt.

What Microsoft has forgotten is that we can chose any other search engine in most browsers. Just One browser gave me huge problems when I wanted to pick Google as my search engine.
Can you guess which one it was?
Yes - IE9. And I cannot tell if Bing is walling off or just bad. Microsoft is opportunistically betting on that Google's invasion of privacy has made them so unpopular that there is a climate in the EU to crucify them.
I think the European Commission will see that too.
It does not become Microsoft to play the role of the underdog after years of bullying smaller businesses.
It is understandable that they want a bigger market share in the "gadgets" market. And Android is way ahead.
But here is a tip for you MS: Just make a better OS for those smart phones - people will buy it - If you can manage it! Try to compete out of court - for once!

Or, just stop writing OSes altogether. They're not worth crapola anyway. Go out of business. Spare us of the garbage.

Yes I have an idea we can just give numbers MS vs A no 1 MS vs B no 2. And then we have the revenges of course; Opera and Google vs MS no3 etc.

And now it is official that MS is financing most complaints coming from others too. Well the ones they like:
