Re: What are you listening to right now?
haha, thanks for the ABBA!!!
Truthfully, I like rock with loud, masterful lead guitar. Not long ago, the survivors of the '70s rock band, Mountain ("Mississippi Queen"), including Leslie West at lead guitar, a bass player and drummer played The Independent, a small club in S.F. Not a fan, I'd heard Mississippi Queen on the radio when I was younger and, with the promise of some good traditional rock and roll, I went. My friend and I got to stand right by the stage and it was a good show, lots of 'moving on' music. The drummer had a gimmick of tossing one of his drumsticks into the crowd periodically. There were some blues, which I like, also, and good hard driving rock.
Can't find a really good example but here's a low-fi vid showing the guitar skills I like:

Funny, I hadn't pegged you for the good old kick a* rock 'n roll, rolf. That's what I get for thinking I guess, but it's a good thing.
Addendum: You might want to check out Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton together, if you can catch them in concert. I was amazed. Completely.

I still miss him to this day... sigh. Totally uneffingbelievable guitar player... this is just a slight sample comparatively speaking to some I've seen him do. What I really used to love, is when these two got together.

Hey boss, want you to know something.
I posted this on my Facebook (right after the Stevie Ray Vaughan-Jeff Healey tune), and you wouldn't believe the comments I got on it. People were in awe (as was I!), saying things like "absolutely positively uneffingbelievable" (insert the regular 4-letter word for "effing"), others with "Wows" and all kinds of great stuff.
Great, great post.
