 | Gnome 3.2 is released. Basically they claim that they have been listening. So many of the complaints that we have tweaked here are now corrected and implemented in Gnome3.2. It has become easier to re-size Windows because the grab area is widened. Files can be previewed in the file manger by pressing space and disappear by pressing space again. And that is quite impressive (see pic on the left). It saves a rightclick and the selection of program to show the picture or document. Finding documents locally and online is made easier with the documents application. On tablets and similar touchscreen devices, rotating the device will automatically rotate the screen. Additionally, touchscreen devices will not show a mouse cursor unless a mouse is attached.+++ Gnome 3.2 is in the Arch repos other distros might have to wait for a while. |
