Windows 8 is more stable than Windows 7

Postby viking60 » 09 Nov 2012, 23:13

ImageAfter having tested it in 182 countries with over 3 million users Windows 8 is crashing less than Windows 7. This is good, since Windows 7 was very stable too after a relatively bad Vista.
So Windows has been a pretty stable platform for some time now.

On Windows 7 Google Drive is the biggest sinner with 28.9 percent. That is about a third of all crashes in the OS, but it crashes far less in Windows 8.
Other sinners are AMD Fuel with 22,7 percent of the crashes, TuneUp Utilities (20,3 %) and FireFox is responsible for 15,1 % of the crashes in Windows 7.
All of these have improved in Windows 8.

In Windows 8 the main program to cause crashes is Explorer with 18,3 % of all crashes. :tux5:
