I wonder if anyone here is still running BOINC, folding@home, SETI@home, or contributing to any other projects like them?

More info on these wonderful projects.

I participate in folding@home but have to get it going again.

Nope, quit doing that years ago....

Used to be a part of a team of overclokers and joined their team for some kind of Protein Competition. Began to question about it, what proteins they were folding. Nobody had a good answer, so fearing the worse, I quit. As far I know, could be for a bio weapon or just big pharma taking a freebie from me.

SETI... not so sure if we want to be discovered. The history of our planet is littered with cases of a civilization with a higher technology taking over of the lower one and not ending well; not even after full assimilation.

So looking for ET might be bringing hell upon us; our natives said the same thing about the Europeans, right?

I have a tendency not to let things like that bug me but to do what good I can do with it anyway. There's bad in everything, and I do mean everything, but I don't give up on the good either.
