How to setup animated backgrounds without scripts
A nice little video that shows you how to set up a xml file that changes trough images:

The Video was very informative. A lot of cutting and pasting there though 
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

you don't want to write xml... XML is awed\full, so it's a good idea to copy paste.
