No, he said on Tuesday that we'd be going through 511 years in 11 weeks (this quarter), so I'm guessing 1500 to date?
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

Intro to Web Standards for a Saturday morning. Shouldn't be a hard class, as I'm already experienced in HTML; however, this will be XHTML, which I'll have to get used to. CSS style sheets, stuff like that. This, I'm not used to, nor do I like. I do all my own code, and hate HTML editors with a passion. I like to code, and can get things more precise for pages out of gedit, notepad, kwrite, what-have-you.

Re: Offline for a bit, no b.s.
Just wanted to let you know that I've found a place to live. Will be moving in this week. We turn in our take-home mid-terms today already, starting in an hour and a half for me. I have mine done, but am worried as to if they're good enough. School hasn't been easy being in the circumstances I've been in. Won't know until at least next Tuesday how I did, as I will have to take the day off from school on Thursday to move - it's the only day I'll have help to. At least I'll be out of the shelter, and will have freedom to come and go as I please, and eat decent food. I will also have a visitor come visit from overseas next week; good timing.
Life goes on... take care.

Yep, just finished it, and a comparison to the American one. Interesting. I think the French revolution much more dynamic, even if unstructured.

dedanna1029 wrote:The exact same day I reported to them that I was homeless and gave a rescue shelter address for them to mail to me, social security disability denied my appeal (I had already applied and been the route, denied, then appealed), which was this last Friday (and I find that timing highly suspicious).
I came to find out that they didn't deny anything. When I reported the homelessness, they saw that I was in Colorado, and not in New Mexico any longer, so what they had to do was close me out in New Mexico in order to transfer me up here to Colorado. My case is still active and pending, and I've hired a lawyer for it.
dedanna1029 wrote:Now, I have to wait for the denial letter to come in before I can even get a lawyer and appeal again, and it also means nothing to help with transpo for the first three weeks of school.
My special someone sent me money for a bus ticket for unlimited rides for a month, so I could get to school and back. The next month, financial aid had come in, and I was able to get my own. Things I guess sometimes just have to go little by little, putting each little bit together into the whole of the puzzle.
dedanna1029 wrote:Life goes on... it sucks sometimes.
Yup. Still not out of the woods yet, and things are still very very tight, and there is no concrete answer as to whether I'll make it or not. However, I have a very slight bit of fight left in me (not much; have been through more than I can put into words here, it's burned my mind and heart both out a lot), and a lot of love. I've seen people get by on less.

Looks like things are looking up a bit , even if life is hard.
And I can believe that the French revolution was "more dynamic" then the American one. They chopped of a lot of heads. I believe the guillotine was invented to make the executions more effective. There was the King and a lot if nobles that had to be decapitated fast. So they made it an efficient industry. Truly quite dynamic
And if you get the opportunity you can remind your fellow occupants of Montesquieu's power division these.
That should be sufficient - just so you do not decapitate those wall street guys

Re: Offline for a bit, no b.s.
And now the big announcement. I won't be able to return to school for next quarter. There's been a drastic tuition increase, and financial aid won't cover it. I certainly can't myself.
The way things are with education in the U.S. is stupid, and wrong IMO. I think education should fall under "natural rights".
