Confused on LMDE download
I'm confused on the LMDE download. If I click it up, it goes to the Linux Mint 12 Lisa download. If I click to download the regular Linux Mint (labeled "Linux Mint 11 Katya"), it goes to Linux Mint 12 Lisa download. What I want to download is LMDE, but whatever I try to download, it's all the same thing, exact same download (Linux Mint 12 Lisa). It seems they've screwed their links. Anyone know what's up? I'm seriously in WTF mode on this. Where can I just get a disk for LMDE? Thanks.

Re: Confused on LMDE download
Well I tried LMDE for a while and that did not work out well. I tried an update after a while and that fubared it. Mint 12 is a better option. If you want to role - Arch is rocking.

Re: Confused on LMDE download
Tried to get Arch installed several times with unetbootin. It errored every time right off the bat because it couldn't find the flash stick I was installing from. So...
Anyway, anyone know what's up with the LMDE download links (that's what I asked here)?
Thanks.

Re: Confused on LMDE download
On second thought, I think I will download the LMDE, but also get Mint 12 downloaded, and install it. If it borks, then I'll go LMDE. My problem is I'm itching to get back into development and contributing, but after the Fedora bork-up, I don't think I'll go development versions until I can get a "normal regular" version of a distro going first on this thing. So, Linux Mint 12 is torrenting down now, and I'll snag the LMDE from your link too (just install Linux Mint 12 first). Thank you.

HHMMMM.... You notice something? It doesn't mention using Unetbootin... *raised eyebrows
Well, it does, but only in the first sentence, and gives no instructions for using it...

Re: Confused on LMDE download
I am pretty sure that you can download it and add it with unitbootin. Just specify your download iso instad of picking from the Unitbootin list.

Re: Confused on LMDE download
Well, that's what I had been doing, but the only way it flies is to have it find the files off hdd instead of usb stick. It never finds the usb stick if you use that. Probably why they don't give instructions for it there. I could try one of the other methods and see if it finds it then to prove or disprove that theory, I guess.

Re: Confused on LMDE download
Unetbootin can be moody so if you make sure you delete it before you try another version.
Some hidden files have a tendency to stick and give you errors on later attempts. Format it (FAT32) before you attempt a new distro. That might help.
