Ok I have Fedora 12 working in Virtualbox now. What is fantastic about it - what should I try out first?
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

To tell you the truth, I don't know. It just calls to me (and it may be because I'm a hometown fan of Red Hat..lol)

As you can see that didn't work. It just fubared the desktop :f . It probably is difficult for any distro in Virtualbox, to be fair. Any other suggestions?

Amarok1! :D

Think I'm gonna upgrade to Rawhide - am getting a bit bored, and have the itch for testing again. I'm going to wait 'til Arch is running again first though, that way if Fedora crashes, I still have a stable distro to fall back on. Used to do that with Cooker, too. :A

And wowow, boss, it seems that updating via yum is a LOT more efficient than the GUI. The GUI only showed the main six packages to update; it didn't mention the other ones:

Code: Select all

# yum check-update

Complete!

And, it appears that I've successfully copied/pasted a bunch of code into here - howcome it wouldn't do that when I was needing to discuss a p-y-c-u-r-l error? Ah, there's the word it doesn't like. I just found it. Got the error when I didn't put in the dashes, so there you go. :A :B

FYI: I can't get nvidia to work with anything higher than the .112 kernel, and everything's installed for the other kernels, or, at least, that's how it appears to me. :(
Pastebin here - the forum doesn't like the code. :f

Oh, and dude! If I'm gonna look at something, make the vid big enough for me to see what y'er typing. Can't help with it unless I know what's going on... :)

Edit: To your credit, I just tried gnome-shell on F13, and it never loaded. It partially loaded, but never did. Had I been able to wait forever, it may have. I have a vid as well up and coming of the epic fail, but it may be tomorrow. For now, I need sleep. Need to feel better.

Have a good one.

Wow. Everyone's leaving me this week! But you do need a bit of a break I guess, and that does look like a nice place to go. Have a friend off visiting their mum & dad this week as well.

No worries, will hold down the fort for ya. :) Have a great time!

Once a week, thereabouts. Sometimes in-between. This was in-between.

When I was running it, I checked it once a day.
