Vimeo video integration

Postby viking60 » 10 Dec 2012, 12:36

Vimeo video integration is now added as a BBCode on this board. We already have the youtube integration but more often videos are vimeo these days so that was added too.
:A

Just copy the address of your favorite vimeo video and put it between the vimeo tags:

Code: Select all

[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/39711916[/vimeo]

You will find the vimeo button to the top right when writing or editing your post.

You are against all these flashy videos in forums you say? Well yes - you have a point - so we would encourage you to put them in a spoiler:

Code: Select all

[spoiler][vimeo]http://vimeo.com/39711916[/vimeo][/spoiler]

And the beauty of it is:
You do not have to use them at all - but you can!
:greetings
Good quality too:

Here is a comparison of Youtube and Vimeo.

Vimeo has a really shitty Privacy Policy though:
http://vimeo.com/privacy
But so has Youtube too and they also collect the Google data:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

So Vimeo is "better!

That is a lot more high fidelity than the usual Youtube fare. :s

I'm not seeing how the privacy policy is worse than the rest but I've taken the plunge and maybe I'll find out.
Next chance to upload a video, I'll try vimeo!

TBH, I don't think it matters, youtube, vimeo, whatever. Youtube and VEVO have been married anyway, it won't be long before the rest of them are married to Youtube, too, paving the way for a google monopoly.
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

I didn't see that before; must be one of Gizmo's early performances singing and playing the ukelele. :s
