And it works all over the place in Gedit Firefox, the Konsole - it does not matter.
In the Terminal/Konsole we have the alias option but you can use Autokey as well.'
So you can write "bas" and it wil automatically be replaced by this line #!/bin/bash.
That makes it easier to start a script in the Terminal with nano or vim, but it will worke in gedit or any editor.
Do you write a lot of phrases here? Automate them with Autokey.
I have made a phrase that pops up every time I write "sign". Namely my signature

Telephone: 12345678
Mobile: 910111213
And it pops up in Libreoffice, here, gedit or in the terminal. I will not be repeating much in the future - I have Autokey for that.
Here is a video - the installation part is Ubuntu specific, but the use is the same.
You could get the html infrastructure by writig "html" or asign it to a key combination. The posibilities are endless. And this thing is really practical - I promise
