What are you listening to right now?

What do we like? Where do we get it? What are you listening to?

If I had to choose, my all-time favorite, Boz Scaggs, on his first album, covering an old blues song written about 1910, iianm, with Duane Allman on lead guitar, "Loan Me A Dime".

Oh wow. Talk about a dynamic duo for sure. Had almost forgotten Boz Scaggs.

Currently listening to a song I've come to love a lot - Within Temptation - "Hand of Sorrow"

Hey rolf, I really really (honestly!) hate to do this to ya, but I'm going to have to ask you to use the spoiler feature of the forum on that image. The reason I do so, is I've already modded one member of the forum for not using it, so out of fairness, I'm going to go ahead and put it on there for Show/Hide. I'm sorry. Thanks.

Where's the rule about using a spoiler? I looked around but don't see one.

You have a point. I have i.m.'ed our site admin, and requested a rule be posted though; I would like to see it as a courtesy to viewers so they don't have to scroll here a lot.

Now I just have to find that other member's one and remove it, but it will be back in place, I'm hoping. It won't detract from images being viewed. It will just make things neater, and neat is good. :)

I've removed the spoiler from yours.

Thanks.

Ok it's a practical thing really. There is some info (no rule) here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=46
Edit: I added it as a rule for the Lounge. Guru-Berserks are... well, Berserks. All history has shown that it is a particularly unhealthy ting to get on the wrong side of them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berserker

His (Odin's) men rushed forwards without armour, were as mad as dogs or wolves, bit their shields, and were strong as bears or wild bulls, and killed people at a blow, but neither fire nor iron told upon them. This was called Berserk-gang.

We may not have invented democracy but we sure did invent ferocity :D
You are Lucky that rolf is a Guru-Berserk also called "skald" - they were more culturally interested and often wrote poems with the blood of their enemies  (They could use ink too but it was harder to find:)

Über Berserkers did not have this weaknes.

Just so you know what you are dealing with here dedanna Image
Are you sure you want rolf to use the spoiler?

Well, it's very nice to get all this cultural enlightenment, thank you.
My position is using the spoiler to reduce scrolling is a bit silly. I just got back from forming, mixing, and placing steel-reinforced concrete under a rotten bathroom floor and it would be nice to have some sort of spoiler to reduce all that 'scrolling'. Furthermore, 'neatness' is pretty subjective. On my side, I compose the post, this one, anyway, with a view to the aesthetics and results of the bulletin board code at our disposal; I wanted the graphic to display. If the owner and moderators insist on things being done a certain way, I realize that my investment of time and money is not so great; I will comply. I would just suggest it's best to establish certain ways in a list of viewable standards before enforcing them.

Please keep in mind, that the forum is still new, and there are things we are still trying to work out with it. I do know that I myself can not, and am not willing to go much more over 400x400; it's something I've hated at other forums, for images/pics to be too big, and if I let one off on it, I have to let everyone off on it out of fairness (or have to enforce it all ways around). I've already noticed that viking and I both use spoilers for the most part anyway, just for youtube videos. I don't think it's too unfair for our members, since we set the example, to do the same. Please bear with us as we hash something out to get down to specifics. Once the specifics are there, they will be enforced.

We do have features for this reason here at this forum; there is no reason not to use them. Also, we have been pretty lenient with people in general all-around so far. I don't think it's too much to ask that a specific rule or two be placed, and enforced; I think we should actually be appreciated for being as lenient as we have (and will continue to be as much as is possible, always). There is one thing I will always enforce here, that being considerate of others, and image size is something that I don't think that many are considerate enough with, this thread being only one of probably over 200 examples.

Final word.

Thanks.

Loved the assassin. Rule is in place with 400 x 400 and can now be brutally enforced.

And I really like that music :!:

I really like it too. It's why I honestly hated to adhere to a rule on it. Eh, oh well.
