That's some positive news. I hope it bears out. WRT the "unique launcher application", My ASUS eeepc 701 came with a fun customized Xandros-Debian desktop, I wonder what the Mandriva notebook version is like.

Further movment - It looks like Mandriva has upgraded the forum and given the webpages a brush up-. To be honest I see more movement in Mandriva now than, in the past years. It could be desperate cramps but it gives a somewhat dynamic impression.
